The Ohio Mathematics Contest (OMC) is a part of the National Math & Science Competition (NMSC) offered nationwide by the Korean American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) and open to all students in grades 4th through 11th.
This year, the OMC will be held on Saturday, April 18, in three different cities in Ohio. The venues with their addresses are:

Check-in will begin at 1:00 pm with tests administered at 2:00 pm. Due to difficulties in logistics, an Award Ceremony will be given a week later on Saturday, April 25, 2026, through Zoom connections. More details will be given after surveying for the time that is convenient to the majority of exam takers and their parents/guardians.

If you want to register for the OMC, please click the button ‘NMSC 2025 Registration’ at the top on the NMSC Homepage (or click here NMSC - NMSC 2026 Registration) and follow the instructions. Since the NMSC is offered nationwide, there are many sites so please be careful to choose the correct picture (i.e., Ohio Chapter on the picture).

2025 Ohio Mathematics Contest (OMC)
It is our great pleasure to announce the 2025 Ohio Mathematics Contest (OMC) on Saturday April 5, 2025, at the Columbus Academy.
This contest is a part of national competition offered by the Korean American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA, www.ksea.org) and all students will take at the same time nationwide (i.e. 2 pm in Ohio, 11 am in California).
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners from each grade will be forwarded to the KSEA HQ for the national level awards. The cash prizes for national winners are $500, $300 and $200 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each grade. The website of the National Math and Science Competition (NMSC) is https://nmsc.ksea.org/. where you can browse and download sample tests of all grades.
The KSEA Ohio Chapter participates only in Math and also has cash awards ($50, $30, $20) to the top 3 winners in each grade level.
Eligibility: 4th -11th grade students
Date: April 5, 2025 (Saturday)
Times:
12:30pm (registration starts)
1:30pm (orientation starts – All students are required to attend this.)
2:00pm (exam starts)
5:00pm (award ceremony)
Venue: Korean American Community School of Central Ohio (KACSCO, https://www.columbuskoreanschool.org/) located at 2965 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231. (The KACSCO shares the building of the New Vision Church of Columbus.)
Registration (deadline: March 30, 2025)
Fee $35 (Note 1. Discounts for KSEA member’s children. Note 2. Absolutely no refunds after Registration ends. Note 3. Walk-ins available for $50 registration fee.
Important Note: No Calculators are allowed.
Volunteers: We need volunteers for registration (12:30-1:45pm), proctoring(1:00-3:15pm), grading(3:15-4:30pm), and award ceremony (5:00-6:00pm) on the day, if you are interested in helping, please send an email to munsupseoh@gmail.com
