The Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA), established in 1971, is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to promoting the application of science and technology for societal welfare, fostering international cooperation—particularly between the United States and Korea—and assisting Korean-American scientists and engineers in realizing their full career potential. Over the years, KSEA has grown to encompass over 6,000 registered members across approximately 70 local chapters and branches, 30 affiliated professional societies, and 13 technical groups throughout the United States.
The Ohio Chapter of KSEA serves as a regional extension of this mission, focusing on the unique needs and interests of Korean-American scientists and engineers within Ohio. The chapter actively engages in organizing events such as the Ohio Mathematics Contest (OMC), which is part of a national competition aimed at fostering mathematical skills among students. Additionally, the chapter hosts annual gatherings like the Fall picnic to welcome new members and facilitate networking among professionals in the area.
